Social housing provider Curo has awarded a grant of £1,000 to Peasedown St John based local charity – the Peasedown Community Trust.
Curo is Bath and North East Somerset’s biggest provider of social housing and manages 13,000 properties across the Southwest of England, many of which are in Peasedown St John.
Just recently, Neil Rogers, Community Engagement Manager at Curo, visited the village to present the cheque to the Trust.
Cllr Karen Walker (Independent, Peasedown) said:
“We’re always grateful for funding for our village’s numerous initiatives, many of which provide support and advice to people living locally.
The Peasedown Community Trust runs Peasedown St John Community Library and Dementia Friendly Peasedown – two key community projects that many residents rely on.
Without the support of organisations like Curo, many of our volunteer-led initiatives would not have the financial support they so desperately need.
Thank you Neil and thank you Curo!”
The Peasedown Community Trust was established in 2020 to champion community and civic life, and to establish projects for people living locally.
