Local charities, voluntary organisations and community groups in Midsomer Norton are being invited to apply for financial support from the Town Council, with applications for the next round of grants closing on Sunday 6th December 2026.
Midsomer Norton Town Council has announced that applications will be considered at its Finance and Operations Committee meeting on Monday 18th January 2027.
Under the Town Council’s grants policy, community organisations can apply for up to £1,000 to help fund projects, activities and events that benefit local residents.
Applications for more than £1,000 may be considered in exceptional circumstances, while separate arrangements exist for larger strategic grants supporting organisations that provide significant ongoing benefits to the town.
Funding is available for a range of purposes, including community events, equipment, running costs and projects that improve facilities or services for residents.
To qualify, organisations must be non-profit-making, demonstrate how their activities benefit Midsomer Norton and provide evidence of financial need.
The Town Council normally considers community grant applications twice a year, in January and July.
The deadline for the forthcoming round is Sunday 6th December 2026, with applications due to be considered on 18th January 2027.
Organisations wishing to apply should read the grants policy and complete the application form available on the Town Council’s website.
