Almost 100 people attended Peasedown St John’s first ever Job Fair last Saturday.
Held at the village’s local primary school, the Job Fair was held thanks to a collaboration between three local organisations: Peasedown Community Trust, Peasedown St John Primary School and event sponsors, Bath College.
Speaking on behalf of the community trust is one of the main organisers of the event, B&NES Cllr Karen Walker (Peasedown St John, Independent), who said:
“We had been wanting for some time to organise something like this locally. There needs to be more opportunities for those looking for work to meet potential employers in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

At Peasedown’s first ever Job Fair we were keen to pair up local employers with people living in the community who are searching for new work opportunities.
Thanks to everyone who attended our first ever Job Fair, it was great to have you with us!
