Flog It! Star Paul Martin Returns to Radstock Museum for Free Valuation Day

Anyone wondering whether an old family heirloom, antique or collectable might be worth something will have the chance to find out when television antiques expert Paul Martin returns to Radstock Museum next month.

The former presenter of BBC’s Flog It! will be at the museum on Wednesday 16 September from 10.30am until 3pm, offering free valuations to members of the public.

Visitors are invited to bring along antiques and collectables for Paul to examine, with no charge for either entry to the valuation event or the valuation itself.

Paul is now Head of Valuations and an auctioneer with Henry Aldridge & Son, and has more than 35 years’ experience in antiques. He is particularly well known for presenting Flog It! for almost 20 years.

Anyone who decides after receiving a valuation that they would like to put their item up for auction will also be able to discuss the options with Paul on the day.

The Radstock Museum Tea Room will be open for refreshments, and although the event is free, donations to the museum would be greatly appreciated.

Somerset Coalfield Life at Radstock Museum is an award-winning local heritage museum in Radstock which preserves the industrial and social history of the former Somerset Coalfield.

Housed inside a beautifully restored Grade II listed Victorian market hall, the museum explores what life was like for Somerset coal miners and their families from the 19th century onwards.

Among its attractions are a Victorian street scene, village shop, school room, model railway and a reconstruction of a coal mine. The museum also hosts regular exhibitions.

The museum is a registered charity and is run by a small team of volunteers.
