Paulton’s ‘Party in the Park’ team seeks new organisers.
The long – standing committee formed to organise Paulton’s ‘Party in the Park’, have recently announced they are hoping to ‘hand over the mantle to a new crew’ after sixteen years, as ‘Party in The Park Ltd’ ceases to exist.
In a recent letter to local press, volunteers George Batchelor, Liz Hardman, Anne Lyons, Ashley Byers, and Bernard Newton stated they’re looking for people, (ideally a group) to take on the running of the annual Summer event which takes place in ‘Paulton Memorial Park’.
The popular, well attended afternoon (and evening), which combines stalls, live music, classic cars, refreshments, and family fun will take place for the last time in 2026 if replacement organisers cannot be found.
The letter, (seen by ‘RadstockTimes’) states that the current committee will ‘no longer be organising and facilitating the annual event’, but they ‘will be happy to give some advice if needed’.
It continues, – ‘We have enjoyed bringing the event to our residents and outlying villages…’ before concluding with, ‘Thank you to everyone who has supported us over the years. Very best wishes.’
If you know of a group, or individual, who is interested in being part of ‘a new crew’, ‘Paulton Party in the Park’ can be contacted via Facebook
