The Midsomer Norton Community Trust have announced that plans for this year’s Town Fayre and Show are progressing very well.
Planning meetings and bookings have already begun and they are expecting to deliver a wonderful community-focussed event much the same as in recent years.
This year the Town Council chose to work alongside the Trust managing the financial and some organisational aspects of the event, with Community Trust volunteers booking stalls, entertainment, attractions, activities and workshops, performances and events, and delivering much of the event on the day itself.
Martyn Plant, Trustee and one of the organisers of the Fayre, said: “Many volunteers are working really hard again this year to make the Fayre a great success. It is always very well-supported by residents and the local community, and we are looking forward to welcoming everyone on the day.”
The Town Fayre and Show is on Saturday 11th July, 12.00-5.00pm, on the Town Park and Somer Centre, Gullock Tyning, as usual.
Martyn added: “Events like this don’t happen without many enthusiastic and committed volunteers. The Trust is always looking for volunteers to help deliver events, and to help with the Trust’s management, so we would love to hear from anyone interested.”
