Residents Invited to Help Shape the Future of Radstock
Radstock Town Council is pleased to announce that this year’s Annual Town Meeting, to be held on Thursday 8 May, from 6.30pm at Trinity Hub, will feature a key update on the progress of the Radstock Neighbourhood Plan—an important community-led project that will guide the town’s development for years to come.
The Neighbourhood Plan is a valuable planning tool because when adopted they have the full weight of the planning system. All Town and Parish Councils have the opportunity to prepare a Neighbourhood Plan which express the priorities of residents.
The plan is being prepared by an enthusiastic and knowledgeable team of volunteers who form the Neighbourhood Planning group.
At the meeting there will be an opportunity for residents to complete an engagement questionnaire giving their feedback on numerous areas of the draft plan. In addition there will be further opportunity to complete the questionnaire at Radstock Library & Community Hub or online www.radstock-tc.gov.uk
Chair of the Neighbourhood Planning Group, Councillor Simon de Beer, said:
” The Neighbourhood Plan is our chance to take control of Radstock’s future—and we want it to reflect the values and vision of the whole community. We invite everyone to come along, learn more, and have their say.”
In addition to the Neighbourhood Plan update, the Annual Town meeting will provide an opportunity for members of the public to hear from Town Councillors, local organisations, and community partners and Reports will be presented on the Council’s activities over the past year, financial matters, and key projects. Attendees will also be invited to ask questions, raise concerns, and share ideas to help shape the priorities for the coming year.
Light refreshments will be provided, and all residents are warmly encouraged to attend.
