Radstock Times – The Heart of Local News Editorial, February 2026

In April, we’ll celebrate our first birthday – and what a year it’s been?!

A big thank you to everyone who has supported us here at the Radstock Times, your local online news source that aims to keep you – the reader – informed and updated about what’s happening in our community.

We’ve seen a huge increase in levels of engagement, from members of the public sending us stories to an incredible growth in the number of people checking out our online news pages.

This Radstock Times is run by a dedicated team of local writers, campaigners and content creators, who are passionate about bringing you news, stories, and comment about things which matter to you. All from the heart of our community.

If there was ever a time for a trusted local news source, now is it. With local newspapers being read less, and the public being misinformed by inaccurate content on social media, the team here at the Radstock Times want to provide a trusted and reliable online news alternative.

Over the next year, you’ll see this website continue to evolve and develop – and most importantly it’ll be further filled with local news stories and information that is of interest to you.

The Radstock Times aims to keep you updated with news and events from Midsomer Norton, Radstock, Paulton, Peasedown St John, Westfield, Timsbury and the surrounding towns and villages. We’ll also publish news stories from further afield if they’re relevant to our community.

If you have a news story to share, we’d love to hear from you. Please feel free to send it out to our news desk at news@radstocktimes.co.uk

“Local news taught me to take each moment as one of extreme importance – don’t waste people’s time. Give them solid information in a compelling fashion so they will remember it and use it in their lives”.

 – Harris Faulkner
