Children at Peasedown Primary School have excelled at a special award ceremony which was held last week to mark the end of another year of learning and educational achievement.
The awards are presented annually to children who have consistently shown and demonstrated the school’s values and vision throughout the previous 12 months.
School Headteacher, Ruth Noall, said:

“Our whole school end-of-year awards are held just before we break up for the summer holidays to congratulate and praise children for their dedication and hard work. Teachers nominate children for these awards and then there is a winner per year group for each award.
We’re always incredibly proud of our children at Peasedown Primary School. Their hard work and determination to learn new things, be creative, ask questions and explore new ideas is second-to-none.”
The awards presented last week were:
· The Curiosity Award is for children who have consistently asked questions, sought out links in their learning, pursued their interests out of school time
· The Aspiration Award is for children who strive to always do their best, learn from the best and inspire those around them to do their best
· The Resilience Award is for children who have bounced back and never give up, striving constantly to be and do their best
· The Empathy Award is for children who shine for their caring and considerate nature, lighting up classrooms with their fairness, helpfulness and kindness
· The Excellence Award is for children who have embodied the school’s vision to achieve excellence for themselves and others, every single day
“Children are awarded with an engraved medal and given excellence cups as a sign of our appreciation for their work,” added Ruth, “Peasedown Primary School pupils have really shone this year, striving to their very best.”
