Local charity Time is Precious is appealing for donations of Christmas presents to help bring festive cheer to children in hospital.
With Christmas fast approaching, the charity is hoping that the generosity of local residents and local businesses will help Father Christmas bring smiles to the faces of children who are spending time in hospital over the festive period.
Time is Precious was established in memory of Ben Halford and is dedicated to improving the hospital experience for seriously ill children and supporting their families during what can be an extremely difficult and emotional time.
The charity works to make hospital environments more welcoming and comfortable for young patients, helping to provide facilities, equipment and activities that can make a real difference during their hospital stays.
As part of this year’s Christmas appeal, the charity is asking people to donate brand-new presents that can be wrapped and distributed to children in hospital.
Donations of a wide range of gifts are welcome, including selection boxes or tubes of sweets and chocolates, games, art sets, puzzles, baby toys, toiletries and gift sets.
All gifts must be brand new.
The appeal aims to bring a little Christmas magic into hospital wards, ensuring that young patients can still experience some of the excitement and joy of the festive season.
Local company soVision IT is supporting the appeal by providing a convenient collection point at its premises in Midsomer Norton, making it easier for residents and businesses to contribute.
Anyone wishing to donate can drop off their gifts at soVision IT, St Chads Avenue, Midsomer Norton, BA3 2HG, between 8.30am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.
